INFO/BIOS:

– Giorgos Christianakis:
Composer-musician. Born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1961.
He started his classical piano studies at the age of 17. Since 1982 he has recorded and performed live with numerous well known greek bands such as Trypes, Apriori, Dacapo, Rodondo Rocks, etc.

He composes music for theater (more than 70 theatre performances, most of them commissioned by the national theatres of Greece, including several productions of ancient drama at Epidaurus, Irodio Attikou & Delphi) as well as for cinema, video art, installations and dancing performances...
He was awarded the 2000 Theatre Awards Prize for his music for the performance of Lorka’s “Yerma” with the National Theatre of Greece.

He has also released 5 solo albums: “Templo” (1997), “The Doorman” (2001), “Strange Stories” (2003), “The Wave" (Alltogethernow, 2013). His latest one, “A Season in Hell", based on the writings of Arthur Rimbaud, was released on the 20th of December 2013.
